Cassidy Arch Slot might be the most popular technical slot canyon in Capitol Reef National Park and for good reason. This slot canyon packs a big bang into a small package with great views, three natural bridges, seven rappels and an all-around good time.

History:

I have been told the old wooden bridge, carved steps and cable walkway found in Cassidy Slot are the remnants of a polygamist hideaway developed for when the Federal marshals came to Fruita looking to make trouble for the polygamist families living in the area.
